Laparoscopy in the treatment of inflammatory disease of the abdominal cavity (literature review)

The purpose of this review is to study the topical issues related to using laparoscopic interventions for inflammatory diseases in the abdominal cavity (peritonitis). The features of the mechanisms of changes in the peritoneum, which is an organ of the immune system, are discussed in case of surgical trauma of the peritoneum, pneumoperitoneum, minimal invasiveness of laparoscopy compared to traditional operations is shown. The indications and existing algorithms for laparoscopic treatment of diffuse peritonitis are considered. Today, despite the development of minimally invasive surgery as a high-tech technology, the effectiveness and safety of laparoscopy in uncomplicated inflammatory diseases in the abdominal cavity has been determined, while in disseminated forms the issue continues to be discussed and requires further fundamental experimental and clinical studies with a good evidence database.
